A 21-year-old man was blue-lighted to hospital following an alleged stabbing in the High Street area of Loanhead.
A man has been rushed to hospital following an alleged stabbing as police make an arrest.
Emergency crews rushed to the Loanhead High Street on the evening of Friday, July 10. An alarm was raised around 5.30pm after police received a report of a serious assault.
Upon attendance, a 21-year-old man was raced to hospital for treatment. The nature of his injuries are not known at this time.
It’s understood that the incident was a stabbing, reports Edinburgh Live. A police investigation was launched in response.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, July 13.
A Police Scotland spokesperson: “Around 5.30pm on Friday, 10 July, 2026, we were called to a serious assault in the High Street area of Loanhead.
“Emergency services attended and a 21-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 13 July.”
