Man Utd youngster Shea Lacey is enjoying an excellent season and he delivered another superb display on Monday.
Manchester United youngster Shea Lacey scored a hat-trick for the academy on Monday. Lacey delivered a man-of-the-match performance in a 5-1 win for the Under-21s against West Brom in the Premier League 2.
West Brom took the lead in the fourth minute, but Lacey equalised six minutes later before firing United into the lead from the spot. The 18-year-old completed his hat-trick in the second half.
Lacey has scored six goals in his last three appearances for the U21s. The exciting forward has enjoyed a brilliant run of form since dropping down to academy fixtures again to earn regular game time.

Michael Carrick has an almost full-strength first-team senior squad available and he inherited a team already out of both cup competitions, which means opportunities for young players have been hard to come by.
However, Lacey impressed during cameos against Burnley in the Premier League and Brighton in the FA Cup when Darren Fletcher was caretaker, and has continued to take part in first-team training.
Lacey’s hat-trick against West Brom meant the U21s climbed to the top of the Premier League 2. Adam Lawrence is now in charge of the U21s after returning to the club for the remainder of the season.
Last week, Lacey scored a free-kick against Brighton in front of the watching Carrick. The United interim boss was spotted observing from the sidelines alongside the head of United’s academy, Stephen Torpey, and Fletcher. Ruben Amorim handed Lacey his senior debut against Aston Villa in December.
