Morrisons shoppers will notice a key difference on their receipts over the coming days – but only at certain stores

Morrisons has implemented a major change to its daily stores that will stay in effect for a fortnight. The retailer has expanded throughout the UK with more than 1,700 convenience outlets, alongside its primary large-format shops.

Shoppers can make savings when purchasing at Morrisons through its More Card programme. It provides customers with five points for nearly every item they purchase, which can be exchanged for £5 vouchers once sufficient points are accumulated.

Over the coming days, customers can accumulate additional points by visiting a Morrisons Daily.

The retailer has introduced a Double Points offer throughout its daily outlets. This means that rather than receiving five points on each item, shoppers can collect 10 More Points.

The initiative will help customers build up rewards more quickly on routine purchases. Morrisons’ offer is accessible in all daily outlets nationwide and in the Channel Islands, excluding Motor Fuel Group locations, reports the Express.

The promotion encompasses the complete in-store selection, enabling customers to gather points on snacks, necessities and grab-and-go food. Gareth Lloyd, director of loyalty at Morrisons, commented: “From quick top-ups on the way home to everyday essentials like milk or a loaf of bread, Morrisons Daily is designed for those convenient, everyday moments.

“The Morrisons More Card rewards customers even when they’re not doing a full weekly shop, and with double points on offer, even those smaller local purchases will help to top-up your points, giving shoppers even more value every time they visit us.”

The Double Points scheme will continue until February 8. This follows Morrisons’ recent announcement that it would be scrapping a beloved loyalty programme after 14 years.

The supermarket terminated its Christmas Savers Stamp scheme at the close of last year, meaning no further stamps will be distributed to help customers save for the festive period. The programme enabled More Card members to purchase digital stamps for £1 at tills throughout the year.

Morrisons provided additional stamps based on the amount saved, which would all be combined into a voucher that could be used in shops during November and December.

When announcing the closure of the Christmas Savers scheme, Morrisons stated: “After careful consideration, we’ll be ending our Christmas Saver Stamp scheme from the 31st December 2025.

“This change allows us to focus more on improving your personalised offers and enhancing the overall More Card experience.”
