A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder
A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead at a property in Tameside.
Police were called to an address on Winterford Road in Mossley on Tuesday.
They found a 61-year-old woman dead at the scene. A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He has since been released on bail.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At approximately 5.25pm on Tuesday 4 August, we were called to a concern for welfare at an address on Winterford Road, Mossley.
“Emergency services attended and sadly a woman, aged 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no wider risk to the public.
“A man, aged 60, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.”
