Nano brewery wins go-ahead to run from Spennymoor garage
The council’s decision on January 29 enables Jamie Fox, of FoxcubBrewing, to carry out brewing operations at his residence in Moore Road, Spennymoor.
Mr Fox’s proposal involves using his garage for brewing approximately 200 to 400 litres per month, employing only freestanding equipment and making no structural changes.
The nano brewery will operate Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm, and from 9am to 4pm on Sundays and bank holidays.
Visitors, including in-person sales and site visits by customers, are prohibited as part of the approval conditions from Durham County Council.
Foxcubbrewing Ltd, which holds a licence issued in July, will only supply alcohol for off-sales only, and no alcohol supply is permitted without a personal licence holder present.
All deliveries are expected to be conducted with minimal disruption.
