North West pubs to host Grand National sweepstakes

A total of 81 venues across North West England are hosting events from Thursday, April 9 to Saturday, April 11.

The pubs are all part of the Proper Pubs group, the community wet-led division of Admiral Taverns.

As part of the celebrations, customers can take part in a Grand National sweepstake by buying a drink ahead of the race.

Each customer will then pick a random number from a hat or box, which is recorded on the sweepstake board alongside their name.

The person who draws the winning horse will receive a free drink as a prize.
