Oldham fire sees huge plumes of smoke seen for miles
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has issued a statement this evening.
It is understood a large outbuilding has caught fire. The cause of the incident has not been confirmed.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 8:25pm this evening (Tuesday 23 June), five fire engines from across Greater Manchester were called to a building fire at Glodwick Lows, Oldham.
“Crews arrived quickly and are using breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Firefighters remain in attendance at this time.”
