One in hospital after crash on A19 at Deighton near York
An air ambulance, paramedics and police were called to the scene near Deighton on Sunday afternoon (August 9).
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said an air ambulance, road ambulance and two rapid response vehicles attended after it received a report of the crash around 3.45pm.
A service spokesperson said one person was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with “suspected multiple fractures”.
The A19 remains closed both ways from Naburn Lane to Howden Lane after the crash.
There is queuing traffic with an eye witness reporting that drivers are being turned around towards Crockey Hill.
North Yorkshire Police has been contacted for comment.
