One in hospital after crash on Brinkburn Road in Darlington
Police and paramedics were called to Brinkburn Road, near the junction with Fairfield Street, on Tuesday (June 23) after two cars collided.
The incident – which took place just before midday – left the road blocked by the damaged vehicles, with pictures showing the crumpled aftermath of the crash.

Both Durham Police and the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) attended the scene.
The NEAS has confirmed that one person has since made their own way to hospital while another was treated and discharged at the scene.

A spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic incident at the junction of Brinkburn Road and Fairfield Street, Darlington at 11.55am on 23 June.
“We dispatched a rapid response paramedic.
“One patient was treated and discharged at the scene and another has made their own way to hospital.”
