Overnight motorway closures planned on M61, M66 and M6
The closures, which affect sections of the M53, M67, M61, M56, M66 and M6, will be in place between 8pm and 6am, depending on the route.
National Highways said the following roads will be closed from 8pm until 6am:
- M53 southbound between Junctions 7 and 10
- M53 northbound between Junctions 5 and 4
- M67 eastbound between Junctions 3 and 4
The following closures will take place from 9pm until 6am:
A further closure will affect the M6 northbound between Junctions 27 and 28, with restrictions in place from 11pm until 6am.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow signed diversion routes where necessary.
National Highways regularly carries out overnight closures to enable maintenance and improvement work to be completed while minimising disruption during peak traffic periods.
