Good morning and welcome to Telegraph Sport’s transfer deadline day coverage.

Let’s be honest, the January window is usually very uneventful and this past month has been no different. But… if transfers gossip gets you going, then today could be an interesting one.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham could all rumoured to be interested in signing players before the 7pm deadline.

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Jérémy Jacquet for a fee in the region of £60m. Chelsea made the early running for the Rennes defender but he has since emerged as a top target at Anfield.

Jacquet, 20, is expected to cost £55m plus £5m in add-ons, with his Rennes hoping to keep him at the club for the rest of the campaign as they chase European qualification.

Crystal Palace fans face an anxious final day of the winter transfer window as speculation mounts over Jean-Philippe Mateta’s future. Mateta was not involved in the 1-1 draw with 10-man Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday amid reports of a move to Italy.

Palace do expect to complete the £48m record signing of Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen. Strand Larsen’s move to Palace appeared in doubt on Friday but the London club’s revised offer for the Norway international was accepted shortly before kick-off between the two sides on Sunday.

Wolves have more than doubled the £23m they paid to sign Strand Larsen permanently and the 25-year-old travelled to London to begin medical tests on Sunday evening.

Arsenal could be interested in a midfielder after Mikel Merino broke a bone in his foot and now faces a few months on the sidelines.
