Person targeting cars in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information after a series of ‘vehicle interference incidents’ in Tadcaster earlier this week.
They say that vehicles in the town were targeted this week between Wednesday (August 19) and Thursday (August 20) in the Meadow Way area, with one vehicle left with the doors open and receipts scattered throughout the car after the glovebox was searched.

“As part of ongoing enquiries, officers have identified that other vehicles in the area may also have been targeted during the same time period. CCTV footage believed to show a person involved has been obtained and is currently being reviewed,” said a spokesperson for the force.
They also issued a reminder to residents to ensure their vehicles are blocked, valuables were hidden, and asked them to report any suspicious activity around vehicles in their neighbourhood.
