Pictures as thousands flock to Stokesley Show 2026

Now in its 166th year, the annual show once again transformed the Stokesley Showground into a celebration of the region’s agricultural heritage, welcoming competitors, exhibitors and families from across North Yorkshire.

Cattle, sheep, horses, goats, poultry and other livestock competed throughout the day before the traditional Grand Parade showcased the top performing animals.

Beyond the livestock rings, marquees were packed with horticulture, baking, arts and crafts entries, while dog and companion animal classes drew crowds.

The event drew crowds of more than 20,000 people and around 2,500 animals, making it one of the region’s biggest agricultural shows.

Food also played a starring role throughout the day, with visitors sampling everything from local produce and artisan goods to street food and sweet treats.

The popular Scrumptiously Stokesley food hall returned for 2026, showcasing independent producers and makers from across the area.

More than 130 trade stands offered clothing, gifts, homeware, gardening products and children’s attractions.

While the event celebrates farming traditions stretching back more than a century and a half, organisers say its continued success is built on the support of hundreds of volunteers, stewards, exhibitors and members of the Stokesley Agricultural Society who work behind the scenes to bring the show to life each year.

Whether they came to admire prize-winning livestock, enjoy the entertainment, sample local food or simply soak up the atmosphere, showgoers were treated to another memorable day in the rural calendar.
