Police investigating ‘sudden and unexplained’ death of man in York
North Yorkshire Police said the man was found collapsed by paramedics at an address in Wood Street, Heworth, at around 11pm yesterday (Friday, September 25).

A force spokesperson said: “The man sadly died in hospital during the early hours of Saturday.
“His family have been informed and are being supported while police enquiries continue.
“No arrests have been made at this stage, and the scene has been closed.
“Witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 12260189028”
Police were reported to be present in Wood Street throughout today with officers seen at the door of a property at 8.15pm.
