Police look for owner of dog that bit man while on lead
According to a witness, when the owner, a woman, was challenged about what her dog had done, she claimed it hadn’t bitten the man.
The woman and her pet were in Weddall Close, Dringhouses, when the incident happened on Monday, at about 3.10pm.
She was an older white woman, with brown hair in a bob cut, wearing black glasses, a leopard skin print coat, blue shirt and cream trousers.
“The owner is described as being dismissive of what happened and disputed that the male had even been bitten,” the police statement said.
“We have some very good still images of the owner, and we may release them to the public, but we would like the owner to come forward, in the first instance,” the police statement says.
