Conor Kinlan’s body was recovered from a Cambridgeshire river in the early hours of Saturday, January 24.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Peterborough. The body of 30-year-old Conor Kinlan was recovered from the River Nene in Peterborough on Saturday morning (January 24).
Cambridgeshire Police received reports that a man was being chased and had entered the river at Pleasure Fair Meadow Road, near the town bridge, on Friday (January 23). Mr Kinlan’s body was later recovered from the river.
Officers launched a murder investigation earlier this week. They have since arrested three people.
A 19-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on Thursday (January 29) on suspicion of murder and possession of a Class B drug. He remains in custody at Parkside Police station.
Another 19-year-old man from Peterborough was also arrested on Thursday on suspicion of assisting an offender. He also remains in custody at Parkside Police Station.
Officers arrested a 61-year-old man from Peterborough on Wednesday (January 28) on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has been released on bail and ordered to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on April 27.
In a previous statement, Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Detectives have been working hard since Friday to piece together how and why Conor ended up in the river, and we have multiple lines of enquiry which are being followed.”
