RAF jet crashes with reports of thick smoke coming from air base – live updates
Eye-witnesses have reported that an RAF Hawk jet crashed shortly after take-off from RAF Valley on Anglesey.
Those reports state that they saw two occupants in the jet eject from the aircraft before the plane crashed.
The coastguard and air ambulance helicopcters are at the scene.
Police, the fire service and Ministry of Defence have been contacted.
