Christopher Tucker had been sentenced to 15 years in prison and died last year at HMP Littlehey.
A man convicted of historic sexual offences has died in a Cambridgeshire prison. Christopher Tucker died aged 79 on July 28, 2025, while serving his sentence at HMP Littlehey in Perry, according to a report published this month.
Tucker was sentenced to 10 years in prison on November 6, 2017, after he pleaded guilty to two counts of rape at Cambridge Crown Court in October. In 2018, his sentence was increased by five years.
The abuse took place between 2003 and 2016 and stopped when the victim approached the police. Tucker had been charged with nine offences.
The other seven offences were ordered to lie on file to spare the alleged victim the trauma of a trial. He was also issued with a restraining order to prevent him contacting his victim and was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
A report by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman stated Tucker had died from “decompensated heart failure and sepsis, caused by aortic stenosis”. It stated Alzheimer’s disease, atrial fibrillation, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease contributed to his death.
A clinical reviewer said the care Tucker received at the prison was “of a good standard”, equivalent to what he could have received outside HMP Littlehey. His dementia had been managed well and no recommendations were made.
An inquest into his death was held on September 29, 2025. It concluded that Tucker had died of natural causes.
