Red Arrows scheduled to fly over York region today
The RAF aerobatic team is scheduled for a formation transit through the Vale of York between 5.26pm and 6.30pm according to unofficial sources.
Met Office reports say the area is seeing broken cloud and sunny spells this afternoon with cloud expected to increase.
The flat Vale of York has long been used by the Red Arrows, who often transit this corridor on the way to or from northern engagements.
According to the European Airshows website, the unit’s next scheduled show is The International Ayr Show: Festival of Flight at the Ayr Seafront in South Ayrshire tomorrow and Saturday.
