The gig came after three days after indie-soul band Skinny Living, from Wakefield, performed at the Crescent as part of Independent Venue Week.
“York, thank you. To everyone who came to listen, who held the quiet and made space for the songs. We felt it,” Skinny Living wrote on social media after performing in York.
“These nights only work when the room is shared with care. That’s when the songs really land.”
Independent Venue Week was founded in 2013 and is a seven-day celebration of the UK’s independent music and arts venues and the people behind them.
