Scotland’s ‘most unique’ wedding venue crowned at Confetti Wedding Awards

- A popular events space in Glasgow has been named the “most unique” wedding venue in the whole of Scotland as part of the prestigious Confetti Wedding Awards. Staff at the venue described the national accolade as “incredibly rewarding”.
- Barras Art and Design, also known simply as BAad, was crowned the best one-of-a-kind venue for weddings in the country at the 10th annual Confetti Wedding Awards. The yearly awards recognise the best of Scotland’s wedding industry across a broad range of categories.
- BAaD is located in the iconic Barras Market in Scotland’s biggest city, and is comprised of a number of spaces. Visitors can enjoy food, drink, and various entertainment, while its wedding space seats up to 250 guests for a meal and 500 guests for a reception.
- Wedding manager at BAaD Jess Thompson said: “Winning this award means so much to us. When I stepped into the role a year and a half ago, the aim was simple—to create weddings that feel personal, relaxed, and completely true to each couple. From colourful, creative celebrations to more understated, intimate days, no two BAaD weddings are ever the same. To now have that recognised nationally, especially by couples themselves, is incredibly rewarding.”
- A number of other prizes were also handed out to various venues, florists, and caterers all across Scotland. Among the other winners at the Confetti Wedding Awards were the Gleddoch Golf and Spa Hotel and The Wedding Planner Bridal Shop in Helensburgh.
