Seven roads set to be closed in Darlington this weekend
Seven roads are set to be closed this weekend in and around the town.
Here’s where these closures are over the weekend (May 16-17):
Bull Wynd
Bull Wynd will be closed from April 27 until July 3.
Restrictions are expected to remain in place throughout this period for carriageway works.
Royal Oak Yard
Royal Oak Yard will face closures from April 13 until May 17.
The restrictions are set to remain in place for carriageway works during this time.
Church Lane, Sadberge
Church Lane in Sadberge is currently closed due to ongoing works that began on May 5.
The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until May 26 for major utility works.
Burtree Lane
Burtree Lane will be closed on May 17 for planned utility asset works.
The restrictions are set to remain in place for the day, affecting the area from behind 7 Portreath Court to behind 2 Princess Road.
Harrowgate Village
Harrowgate Village is undergoing highway improvement works, with closures in effect since March 2025 and expected to last until July 31.
The restrictions are in place for footway, carriageway, and verge improvements.
Beaumont Hill
Beaumont Hill is also closed for highway improvement works, with the same timeline as Harrowgate Village.
Restrictions are set to remain in place for ongoing development works.
Mill Lane, Redworth
Mill Lane in Redworth is closed from May 11 to May 20 for new service connection.
The restrictions are expected to remain in place for the duration of the works.
