Snoop Dogg posts family picture following tragic death of his 11-month-old granddaughter
SNOOP Dogg has shown support for his beloved daughter following the devastating loss of her baby.
The 54-year-old rapper shared a photo of his loved ones after the tragic death of his 11-month-old granddaughter Codi Dreaux – just 20 days after her release from hospital.
In a tear-jerking Instagram post, superstar singer Snoop Dogg marked the tragedy alongside a photograph of himself with Cori and his sons, Corde, 31, and Cordell, 28.
He captioned it simply with a heart and prayer hands emojis.
Cordell mirrored this family solidarity on his Instagram stories, reposting the image with the caption: “Lil sis, we got you forever.”
Snoop’s daughter – 26-year-old Cori – confirmed the loss of her daughter, writing on her Instagram stories: “Monday, I lost the love of my life.
“My Codi,” accompanied by an angel wing emoji and a black-and-white photograph of herself with the infant.
She posted a black and white picture of her holding her baby daughter as she looked down and smiled at her.
She also reshared her post about Codi coming home and wrote: “20 days later?! Dawg I’m sick.”
Cori’s fiancé and Codi’s father, Wayne Deuce, also shared the news of their daughter’s passing on Instagram.
In a message filled with grief, he wrote: “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux.
“But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you,” alongside an image of him holding his daughter.
Cori previously announced her pregnancy in December 2024.
She had welcomed Codi – her first child with photographer fiance Wayne – in February last year.
However, in February 2025, she revealed that Codi had been born prematurely at 25 weeks and was being cared for in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed,” she wrote when announcing the birth.
“Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me.”
She also shared that she had been diagnosed with HELLP syndrome (Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets).
Codi spent 10 months in the NICU before finally being discharged to go home in early January 2026.
She was diagnosed with Lupus when she was six, and suffered a stroke in early 2024, which made her pregnancy high risk.
Cori is the youngest of Snoop’s three daughters with his wife of 28 years, Shante Broadus.
