The Street Food Carousel, a partnership between Hartlepool Borough Council and event organiser Baccanalia, will be held on Saturday (August 1) from 4pm to 8pm.

Organisers are encouraging local traders to apply for stalls, including food vendors, retailers, and other businesses wishing to promote their products or services.

Designed to attract both residents and visitors, the event is expected to boost footfall and support nearby businesses including pubs, bars, and restaurants.

Councillor Rob Darby, chair of the council’s housing, growth and communities committee, said: “We are delighted to be working with Baccanalia to bring Street Food Carousel to Hartlepool.

“This is an exciting new event which will help to drive footfall into the town centre.

“We are looking forward to seeing Church Square transformed into a vibrant destination and would encourage local traders to seize the opportunity to get involved.”

The Street Food Carousel will also return on August 22, September 19, and October 31.
