Sunday Brunch fans issued the same complaint after Tim Lovejoy was absent from the Channel 4 cooking show

Sunday Brunch viewers voiced the same grievance after host Tim Lovejoy was replaced on the Channel 4 cooking programme. This wasn’t the only alteration as the show, which typically airs on Channel 4, was shifted to E4 to accommodate the Paralympics.

The usual Sunday morning time slot will be occupied by Channel 4’s coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. The broadcaster will transmit more than 60 hours of live sport from the Italian Dolomites.

Opening the programme, Simon Rimmer began, “Good morning and welcome to Sunday Brunch on E4, I am Simon Rimmer, and this morning I’m joined by the lovely Yinka Bokinni.”

Yinka continued, “Tim is actually having a lie-in this morning, so I’m actually filling in for him this week and next week. But don’t worry, everyone, you’re in good hands; he’s left a handover.I’ve been fully briefed on what to expect. So you ready for this? Because it’s very Tim,” reports the Mirror.

“You don’t have to be crazy to work here, but it helps,” Yinka said as she read out Tim’s handover. “Keep calm and carry on. You miss 100% of the shots you didn’t take, and it’s all about the journey, not the destination.”

“Thanks, Tim, that’s really useful. Thanks, mate. If you’re watching,” Simon said before adding, “Me and Yinka have known each other for a little while, and we did our script meeting before, and at the end of that, I said, ‘Is there anything you worry about? Any questions?’ and she said, ‘All I’m thinking about is I must remember to moisturise my knees’.”

“Yes, you can’t be having ashy knees on E4,” Yinka chuckled. “I’ve got a brand to represent.” Fans were swift to share their views on the shake-up, with one penning, “Not the same without Tim, you can’t have Ant without Dec.

“@timlovejoy too good for E4 then…?” another queried whilst a third chimed in, “She’s a bit too loud! Missing Tim. #SundayBrunch.” Another person concurred, “Never thought I’d say this, but not the same without Tim.”
