Several Cambridgeshire restaurants feature among the best in the area
A number of Cambridgeshire restaurants have been named as finalists in awards dubbed the ‘ curry Oscars of the UK’. Finalists for the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards have been announced for 2026.
The ARTA awards welcome some of the UK’s best and most popular Asian restaurants to celebrate the work they do. Finalists have been revealed in 34 categories, with the winners being announced at a ceremony in London on October 12.
Several restaurants from across Cambridgeshire feature as finalists. These are:
Regional Restaurant of the Year – East Anglia
- Curry Palace, Cottenham, Cambridge
- Jomidar Mahal, Littleport, Cambridge
- Lalbagh Bangladeshi & Indian Diner, Bourn, Cambridge
Regional Takeaway of the Year – East Anglia
- Cam Spice in Bar Hill, Cambridge
- Urbanchai in Cambridge
Mohammed Munim, founder and CEO of ARTA has congratulated all of the restaurants in the awards. He said: “Congratulations to every restaurant and takeaway named as a finalist of ARTA 2026.
