Travel disruptions

The A1044 Low Lane is closed both ways after a bridge was struck by a vehicle from Glaisdale Road to Barwick Lane in Low Leven. Traffic is heavy.

Train disruptions

What will the weather be like in the North East today?

The day will be mild and dry, with sunny spells as temperatures rise.

Today: Misty and cool at first, but temperatures will rise from around 11am as the sun comes out, with cloudier spells around midday. Maximum temperature 18°C.

Tonight: Clear skies will continue, with mild temperatures until around 10pm before it turns noticeably cooler. Minimum temperature 5°C.
