Two children are in hospital following a horror crash on a Scots road.
Emergency services raced to the two-vehicle collision on the A73 between Lanark and Carluke in South Lanarkshire at 8.50am on Saturday. Crews attended and four people, including two children, were found injured.
They were taken to hospital for treatment, where their current conditions are unknown. The road was closed for some time to allow inquiries to be carried out.
It has since reopened.
A statement from Police Scotland reads: “The A73 Lanark Road has re-opened between Lanark and Carluke following a two vehicle crash reported to police around 8.50am on Saturday, 31 January.
“Emergency services attended and two adults and two children were taken to hospital for treatment. Road users are thanked for their patience.”
