Police are appealing for witnesses
Two teenagers have been taken to hospital with “serious” injuries after a crash involving four vehicles on Sunday, May 31. Emergency services were called at 5.16pm yesterday evening to Sycamore Avenue, in Dogsthorpe, after a blue VW Golf struck three parked cars.
The driver, a 17-year-old boy, and passenger, an 18-year-old man, both from Peterborough, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Services also attended the scene. Crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground used specialist equipment to release two casualties who were left in the care of ambulance crews.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the crash. Anyone who saw what happened, has footage of the incident, or of the vehicles in the time leading up to it, is asked to report it through the force website quoting Op Swindon or call 101.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 5.19pm on Sunday (31) crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a road traffic collision on Sycamore Avenue in Peterborough.
“Using specialist equipment firefighters released two casualties who were left in the care of ambulance crews. The crews returned to their stations by 6.50pm. “
