UEFA meeting LIVE: Champions League final venues announced as Wembley snubbed
There is football taking place in Greece for the event. A young player’s football tournament will also be held in the city centre of Thessaloniki at Aristotelous Scquare.
UEFA describe the event in a statement which said: “In the early afternoon, a grassroots football festival will take place in the city centre of Thessaloniki at Aristotelous Square, as part of the UEFA Football in Schools programme, with an opening ceremony featuring UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin and Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) president Makis Gagatsis.
“Sixty boys and girls from local schools will participate in the festival alongside a number of international and Greek football legends, including Oliver Bierhoff, Christian Karembeu, Aljoša Asanović, Nadine Kessler, Theodoros Zagorakis, Angelos Basinas, Dimitris Papadopoulos and Dimitra Panteliadou.”
