Police closed off the road while they dealt with the incident

A village road had to be closed for two hours after two cars were involved in a crash. Cambridgeshire Police closed off the Old North Road near Bourn and Longstowe at around 6.45pm on Thursday (August 27).

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at about 6.45pm yesterday to the Old North Road, near Bourn/Longstowe, after reports of a collision between two cars.”

There were no arrests and police believe that only minor injuries were sustained. The road was closed for around two hours while police dealt with the incident and reopened at 8.30pm.
