Two women from the Alway area of Newport have been charged with drug supply offences following an investigation by Gwent Police.
Officers arrested the two women and seized crack cocaine, cocaine, cannabis and a quantity of cash following a search of an address in the city on Saturday 15 August.
Lisa Thomas, 44, was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, and possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis/cannabis resin.
Carmen Thomas, 24, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
Both women, from Walford Davies Drive in Newport, were remanded into police custody to appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 August.
