A lifeboat was launched after a person fell overboard from a dinghy near the Menai Bridge.

At 3.06pm on Thursday, September 3, HM Coastguard volunteers at Beaumaris received a page relating to a report of a person having fallen into the water.

The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat and the Mobile Coastguard Rescue team from Bangor attended the scene and discovered the casualty and his craft had been recovered to the shore by a passing vessel.

The casualty refused medical treatment but was advised to be alert for secondary drowning symptoms.

The lifeboat was then stood down by the Coastguard.
