Anyone wandering down one of the main roads in Pontypridd town centre 10 days ago would have seen a blank wall on the gable end of a popular café called Rhi’s on the corner of Taff Street.
Then seven days ago there would have been scaffolding covering the site, and if they had returned on Wednesday they would have been amazed – the scaffolding is down and the most mesmerising of murals has been revealed.
The site which has been intriguing passers-by for days has been transformed from a boring cream wall into a mural celebrating one of the town’s most prolific, yet little celebrated, music icons – a young woman called Morfydd Owen. Full story here
