When is it and how to watch Novak Djokovic vs Carlos Alcaraz on TV
The Australian Open has a golden finale to look forward to on Sunday when Novak Djokovic faces Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s singles final.
Djokovic is into his 11th Melbourne final after ending his streak of semifinal exits at four consecutive majors. Alcaraz is into his first title match at the Australian Open, and aiming to be the youngest man ever to complete a career Grand Slam.
The semi-finals were both remarkable. In the first, Alcaraz, the world No 1, staged a fifth-set fightback to beat Alexander Zverev in match lasting five hours and 27 minutes. He then then denied bending the rules to seek medical treatment for cramp.
In the second semi, Djokovic produced one of his speciality epics to defeat two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner. The 38-year-old battled for four hours and nine minutes to clinch a 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory just after 1.30am on Saturday.
