Wigan incident LIVE: Stretch of main street in town centre shut amid ‘building fire’
A stretch of a main street in Wigan town centre is closed off amid reports of a building fire.
Part of King Street is closed this morning (Monday, August 24). It is shut from Rodney Street to College Avenue.
According to an update on the Bee Network website, a number of bus services are being diverted due to the incident. These include the 132, 607 and 609.

The incident was reported to have started at around 4am this morning. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has been contacted for further details.
