Woman allegedly punched in head by man in Gale Lane, Acomb

The incident happened close to Acomb Funeral Care in Gale Lane between 1.45am and 1.55am on Sunday (July 5).

The victim was allegedly punched in the head without warning or reason by a man, North Yorkshire Police said.

The suspect is described as white, of a slim build and in his 60s.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a cap, a checked shirt with a white t-shirt underneath and was possibly wearing glasses.

A force spokesperson said: “If anyone recognizes this description or lives in the area and has CCTV, witnessed the incident or was driving in the area or has information that could assist our investigation, please contact us.
