Woman taken to hospital after M60 central reservation crash
The M60 was shut between J13 (Worsley) and J15 (Clifton) heading clockwise following the incident at around 2.15am on Friday (February 6).
National Highways said the vehicle “struck the central reservation” and all emergency services were on scene.
Four fire engines from Stretford, Farnworth, Leigh and Eccles stations were called to the crash which involved a single car.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 2.15am on Friday 6 February, four fire engines from Stretford, Farnworth, Leigh and Eccles fire stations attended a crash on the M60 clockwise between junctions 13 and 14 involving one car.
“Crews arrived quickly to make the area safe and remove one person from the vehicle before passing them into the care of North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews were in attendance for roughly one hour.”
A woman was taken to Salford Royal Hospital but North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said her injuries are not thought to be serious.
The road was reopened again shortly before four am.
