York – A64 delay near Tadcaster heading towards the A1(M)
Traffic is building on the westbound carriageway near Tadcaster between the A162 and Paradise Lane.
Motorists are currently being delayed by more than 17 minutes, with an average speed of 5mph due to the congestion heading towards the A1(M).

One person who has been held up has posted on social media: “Stuck on A64 in a massive traffic jam – nothing moving.”
Another motorist has reported that the outside lane is closed just before junction 44 to the A1, with slow-moving traffic.
She wrote on social media: “Just one car as we’ve just gone past, only police there and driver still in car, traffic moving freely once passed.”
