What is the Flower Belt like?

The Flower Belt’s website reads: “Nestled in the rolling countryside of Ryedale, North Yorkshire, The Flower Belt is a pick-your-own flower and pumpkin farm offering visitors a unique, hands-on experience with nature.

“Owned and run by the Wainwright family who have farmed this land since 1962, the farm celebrates a deep-rooted passion for growing beautiful, seasonal produce.

“From vibrant tulip fields in spring to wildflowers and towering sunflowers in summer, and a pumpkin patch in autumn, The Flower Belt offers a changing landscape throughout the year.”

Visitors are able to simply take a walk through the fields or handpick flowers to create their own bouquet.

Described as an “unforgettable” experience, you will be able to enjoy views of the North York Moors.

After walking through the fields, you can stop off at the Honey Tap to enjoy a coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

In the afternoon, the café serves pizzas from simple margheritas to a pizza topped with prosciutto, ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto.

On a hot day, you can grab an ice cream or a sweet treat ranging from brownies and rocky road to a slice of cake.
