Crypto has been through another brutal stretch of volatility. Tom Lee and Cathie Wood think the biggest move is still ahead.

Tom Lee, co-founder and head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors and one of Wall Street’s most closely followed macro strategists, opens with a data point that reframes how most people think about Bitcoin investing entirely. Nearly all of Bitcoin’s annual returns have been concentrated in just 10 days per year. If you missed those days, your compounded annual return over the past decade would have been negative 27% rather than the highest of any major asset class. That single fact explains why market timing is so dangerous in this asset and why patience has consistently been the highest-percentage strategy available.

He is also direct about the draw down. A 50% correction in Bitcoin’s history is not even necessarily called a correction. The network has never been successfully compromised. The community defending it has grown every cycle. Spot ETFs have opened the institutional on-ramp. Corporate treasury adoption continues expanding. Regulatory clarity is improving across major jurisdictions.

None of the fundamentals have changed. AI capturing incremental investment dollars in the near term is a temporary shift in attention, not a structural challenge to the blockchain thesis. Wall Street still runs on a decades-old financial stack and the upgrade is going to be built on crypto rails.

Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of Ark Invest, takes the broadest possible view. She is tracking five major innovation platforms converging simultaneously. Artificial intelligence, robotics, energy storage, blockchain technology, and multiomics.

The real power is not in any single platform but in how they compound each other. Autonomous vehicles combine AI, robotics, and energy storage. Healthcare is being transformed by AI converging with genomic sequencing and gene editing. Blockchain provides the digital trust infrastructure that makes this connected economy function at scale. These are not separate investment themes. They are reinforcing loops, and Cathie Wood believes they are just beginning to accelerate.
