🚨 David “JoelKatz” Schwartz just dropped the spiciest XRP tweet of the year — and the XRP Army is divided. Replying to a thread about XRP price predictions, Ripple’s CTO Emeritus and XRPL co-architect tweeted:
“If there were a few very rich, very rational people who really believed that there was a 1% chance that XRP could hit $10K in 10 years, they’d bid XRP up to at least $20 today. Why aren’t they? Conspiracy?”

Let’s break down what Schwartz is actually saying — because the math is brutal:
The expected value calculation:
$10,000 × 1% probability = $100 expected value per token in 10 years
Discounted to present value at any reasonable discount rate, that’s still $20+ per token TODAY

Current XRP price: ~$1.30-$1.40
The market is NOT pricing in even a 1% chance of $10K XRP
Schwartz’s two implications:
Either rational, well-informed wealthy investors don’t believe there’s even a 1% chance of $10K XRP in 10 years
OR — sarcastically — there’s some “conspiracy” suppressing the price
This is classic efficient market hypothesis. If smart money truly believed $10K was achievable with even a tiny probability, the price should already reflect it.
