Neguse presses Bondi over DOJ crypto enforcement cuts
Colorado Rep. Joe Neguse pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Justice Department’s decision to eliminate its National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team, repeatedly asking how many people still worked on crypto enforcement. Bondi did not answer.
Neguse said the move warrants scrutiny given President Donald Trump’s significant financial interests in cryptocurrency, and argued that the department is scaling back oversight as those interests continue to grow.
