Pagsiyasat sa financial records ni VP Sara pinagdebatehan sa impeachment trial | ANC

Headstart: Ipinaliwanag ni House prosecutor Rep. Chel Diokno ang mga dahilan kung bakit mahalagang masiyasat ang mga financial at tax record ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa ikaanim na araw ng impeachment trial. Binigyang-diin niya na hindi dapat maging hadlang ang Bank Secrecy Law at Data Privacy Act upang suriin ang mga ito dahil ito ang magpapakita kung nararapat pa bang manungkulan si Duterte sa bansa.

Pangatwiran naman ng depensa sa pamumuno ni Atty. Michael Poa, maaaring magamit ang subpoena ng financial records para sa umano’y “fishing expedition.” Igiit din nila na walang sapat na ebidensiyang ipinakita ang mga complainant noong inihain ang reklamo sa Kongreso.

Inaasahang ilalabas ang desisyon ng mga senator-judge matapos pagdebatehan ang nasabing isyu sa Lunes, Hulyo 20.
