The Clarity Act Vote: What’s at stake for crypto?
The Senate votes on cloture for the Clarity Act on Tuesday at 2:15pm ET, and it needs 60 votes to proceed. Republicans hold 53 seats. Faryar Shirzad, Coinbase’s Chief Policy Officer, says the company feels good about almost every Republican, and on the Democrats he says only that they are “hoping we’ll make up the balance, but we’ll have to see tomorrow.” He also argues the agencies can implement much of the bill administratively if it stalls, and answers on bitcoin’s fall from last October’s high.
