The Wealthy Never Sell… Soon XRP Holders Won’t Have To Either

Two proposals that would add institutional credit to the XRP Ledger are in front of the network right now, and they are not live. One creates single asset vaults. The other is a lending protocol that lets the ledger itself enforce the terms of a loan. Most coverage is calling this launched. It is not launched. Upgrades to the XRP Ledger need roughly eighty percent support from the network, sustained for two consecutive weeks, before they activate, and support is still well below that threshold. The design is deliberately not the crypto lending most people picture. The credit decision happens off the ledger, made by licensed financial institutions, and only the execution moves on chain. The judgment stays with regulated humans and the enforcement moves to the network, which is exactly the split an institution needs before it will commit real money. There are already billions of dollars of real world assets tokenized on this ledger that you can hold and trade but cannot borrow against. Credit is the layer that turns a parked asset into a working one.
