Chris Hemsworth has admitted that he’s beginning to feel the toll of training to get Thor-ready more as he gets older.

The Australian actor is currently gearing up for the release of the next Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday, in which he’ll reprise the role of Thor for his 12th outing as the superhero character.

During an interview on Friday’s edition of The Graham Norton Show, Chris was asked by fellow guest John Bishop about what his fitness training is like when he has a Marvel movie coming up.

“I keep the momentum up and stay in the zone,” he responded. “I train six or seven days a week for my health and mental wellbeing and when I am Thor I just eat more.”

He then admitted: “Everything hurts a bit more now I am 42, but it is fun and I love it.

“It’s a blessing to be part of something that has such a following.”

Teasing what’s in store in the next movie, Chris added: “Thor is back, but what can I say without being removed from the movie?

“Every time I come back as Thor, I think, ‘Where can we go from here?’ But each time I have been blown away, and this one is no different. It’s ginormous!”
