Jeff Goldblum To Guest Host Saturday Night Live UK Season 2 Opener

On Thursday morning, it was revealed that Oscar nominee Jeff Goldblum will be the first celebrity guest host of the new series, with his episode set to air live on Sky and Now on Saturday 12 September.

He’ll be joined in the studio by Irish singer-songwriter and Mercury Prize nominee CMAT, delivering two live performances during the episode.

The first three of these will air on consecutive weeks in September, returning for another three after a week off in early October.

Bosses have also confirmed that the final six episodes will then air in early 2027, although an exact date is yet to be specified.

All 11 members of the original SNL UK cast will be returning for season two, including Al Nash, Annabel Marlow, Ayoade Bamgboye, Celeste Dring, Emma Sidi, George Fouracres, Hammed Animashaun, Jack Shep and Larry Dean, while Ania Magliano and Paddy Young will be returning to the British Weekend Update desk.

Last week, it secured the Best Comedy prize at the Edinburgh TV Festival Awards, and was also long-listed in the Best Comedy category at the upcoming National Television Awards.

SNL UK airs on Saturday nights (obviously) on Sky and Now at 10pm.
