Trump’s Approval Rating Falls To Lowest Level Since January 6 Insurrection, New Poll Finds

A new poll from CNN released on Wednesday showed that President Donald Trump’s approval rating had sunk to its lowest level since the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the US Capitol.

According to the poll, 34% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while over half of respondents said they strongly disapprove. Even among Republicans, Trump’s approval had fallen to new lows of 78%, with only 19% saying they were enthusiastic about the rest of his second term.

With the ever-widening conflict in the Middle East nearing its sixth month, Americans are continuing to show their disdain for the US-Israeli war on Iran. Roughly two-thirds said Trump’s military policies had worsened economic conditions in the US. Just 25% said the war was worth the financial burden being placed on the country. And only 25% of respondents said Trump had a clear plan for ending the war, down from 40% at the beginning of the conflict in February.

Trump also tested low on a number of other key issues, including his handling of inflation (25%) and gas prices (21%).

Possibly the most eye-opening revelation from the poll was that 73% of Americans said Trump had not spent enough time focusing on the most important issues facing the country.
