What Will Christopher Nolan’s Next Film Be After The Odyssey? Director Dismisses Rumours
The Odyssey has only been in cinemas for five minutes, and the speculation has already begun as to what director Christopher Nolan might be planning next.
In fact, rumours about what could be in store from Nolan in the future actually began before his latest film had even been released.
Back in 2024, it was first suggested on social media that the Oscar winner was planning to put together a helicopter-based action thriller as his next movie, which would take heavy inspiration from 1983’s Blue Thunder.
Nolan was afforded the opportunity to set the record straight during a recent interview with The Telegraph, where he admitted he had been left “bewildered” by these claims and had “absolutely no idea” where the rumour might have stemmed from.
“Besides,” he quipped. “I was always more of an Airwolf fan.”
The Odyssey is the 13th feature-length movie to be directed by Nolan, and his first since the critical and commercial smash that was 2023’s Oppenheimer, which swept the Oscars the year after its release and made almost a billion dollars at the box office.
The Odyssey is in cinemas now.
